“Has there been any word?” Sandra asked the security guard.
He shook his head his eyes slightly drifting toward the ground. “No ma’am, there’s no word from your brother.  We searched the bar he attended before he disappeared. We found nothing but a bloody dead end.”
“And the one who survived, Jimmy was it, has he said anything new?” Sandra asked.
“No ma’am. He is still pretty shaken by the event. He keeps talking about the woman and her creature.” The guard looked out of Sandra’s office window. “Could this really be her? Could she really be back?”
Sandra joined him at the window.  The moon was bright in the sky shining its light on the mansion.
“Seems so. With…….with Harvey out of the way she’ll be coming for me next.”
“Ma’am?” The guard said shocked.
“Yes, you heard me correctly.” Sandra replied.
“How do you know?”
“I know her. I know her.” She said looking out of the window. “I want you all to take double shifts around the mansion, no breaks until sunrise. I need this place safe, can you ensure that?”
“Yes ma’am.” The guard put his hand on Sandra’s shoulder. “I promise you, no one is getting in here tonight.”
Sandra smiled relived for the first time in weeks. “Thank you and I applaud your confidence. Now please follow through with it.”
“Yes ma’am,” The guard picked up his weapon from Sandra’s desk and left the room. Sandra looked back out the window when her office lights suddenly switched off.
“To his credit security was a bit tight to get through. I didn’t even know you guys were still teaching civilians to hunt. But based on the circumstances it seems like a bit of a waste don’t you agree?”
A voice said from the shadows.
Sandra sprinted toward the door. She reached the handle when the voice said. “You’re not that stupid are you? Even if you did get out of that door how many would I cut through before or even if they’re able to put me down? How many deaths do you want on your conscious for your ignorance?”
Sandra’s grip slipped from the handle.
“And don’t even try the panic button in your pocket.” The said with a snicker.
Sandra pulled her hand out of her pocket. “Good girl, now turn toward me.”
Sandra did as told and turned. That’s when she saw her. The Countess sat behind Sandra’s desk in front of the window. She wore a black T-short with tight leather pants and biker boots that she had propped up on the table. Her green eyes glowed in the dark room and though Sandra couldn’t see it she was smiling.
“I’d say I have about 6-7 minutes before they notice something’s wrong. Sit down sister." Vanessa said devilishly.
Sandra's eyebrows lowered in anger taking a seat across from the vampire. Cold stares filled to the brim of the moonlit room.
"You don't want to turn on a light?" Sandra asked.
"Oh no I'm fine.” Vanessa smiled wider ready to plant the first seed.  “The darkness always suited you better anyway sandy."
Sandra's heart began to race. Sandra looked at Vanessa sharply.
"Don't,"
"What I was nearly stating facts." Vanessa said smiling her fangs shining in the moonlight.
"How's the baby?" She asked.
"She's fine healthy and out of your reach.” Sandra said.
Vanessa nodded and leaned forward in her chair. “Until I want her in my reach and soon she’ll be in my grasp.”
She sat back in her chair eyes on fire.  "As you know my blood has fantastic properties. Did you know I could rapidly age your child with one bite? I could make her 1 or 100 in just one little bite; I could even make her old enough to be my new apprentice."
Sandra quickly stood up. "What do you want witch?"
"Your help."
"Never,"
"Oh, well how about Sandy's help."
Sandra's heart began to race again. Sweat trailed down her forehead.
"Stop calling me that!" Sandra screamed.
"She's still there isn't she? Still alive!"
"How could...it leave after what you did me?" Sandra said backing up.
"I opened your mind." Vanessa claimed.
"You poisoned me!"
"I just let you see our side of things and now you need to see again."
"No, never!" Sandra cried.
"Either you do this for me or I take your daughter and kill everyone in this house. You’re my best bet to get to Helsing."
Sandra was on her knees crying. "I cannot turn against my own father."
"You must for your daughter’s sake. Come on Sandy, it'll only be for a little while?" Vanessa grinned.
Sandra grabbed her head as if to keep something from coming out.
"Stop it, stop it!" Sandra wept.
Vanessa crawled over to Sandra. "Freedom my dear let her OUT."
Sandra's cry began to morph into a uncontrolled giggle. She pulled out her pointy tail letting long hair flow down her shoulders.
"Free," Sandy said highly. "No more responsibility, no more up tightness."  Sandy rose from the floor smiling with glee. "No more fancy clothes," Sandy ripped open her blouse.  "I finally get to be myself again."
Sandy turned toward Vanessa.
"Mistress," she began to bow.
"No need for ceremony here, we have work to do love."
“Does it involve the murder of those dreaded men downstairs?" Sandy said with a crazed smile.
"Oh no, I am a woman of my word. We have a bigger fish to suck dry."
